Medical & Mental-Health Disclaimer

Last updated: May 29, 2026

1. Not Therapy. Not Medical Care.

Mental Reps is a mental performance coaching app. Nothing on this platform (including written content, exercises, or AI coach conversations) constitutes therapy, counseling, psychiatric treatment, or medical advice. Using this app does not create a therapist-client or doctor-patient relationship of any kind.

2. The AI Coach Has Limitations

The AI mental coach is a language model trained on general knowledge. It is not a licensed clinician, psychologist, or counselor. It can make mistakes, misunderstand context, and cannot assess your mental health state. Do not rely on AI coach responses for any clinical or medical decision.

3. In Crisis: Call or Text 988

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or are in immediate danger, please reach out for help right now. Call or text the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988. You can also text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line). Emergency services are available by calling 911.

4. When to Seek Professional Help

Please consult a licensed mental health professional if you experience persistent anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, disordered eating, substance use concerns, or any other mental health issue that impacts your daily functioning. Mental Reps is not a replacement for professional care; it is a complement to the work you do with qualified providers.

5. No Doctor-Patient Relationship

Accessing or using Mental Reps does not create any professional relationship (therapeutic, medical, or otherwise) between you and Mental Reps, its owner, its operators, or any AI system it uses. You are responsible for your own decisions and for seeking qualified care when you need it.

This is our current beta disclaimer, written in plain language. It is not legal or medical advice; we will formalize it with counsel as the service grows.
