1. What We Collect

We collect your account email address and birthdate (provided through Clerk, our authentication provider), the messages you send to the AI coach, and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers when you subscribe. For athletes aged 13 to 17, we also collect the name and email address of the parent or guardian who provides consent. Some interface preferences are stored locally in your browser and are not transmitted to our servers. We do not collect payment-card numbers; card details are entered directly with Stripe and never touch our systems.

2. How We Use It

We use your information solely to provide and improve the Mental Reps service, including personalizing AI coach responses, managing your subscription, and communicating service updates. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Third Parties

We share limited data with the following service providers solely to operate the app: Clerk (authentication), Convex (backend database), Stripe (payments and subscription management), and Anthropic (AI coach messages). Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

4. Data Retention

AI coach messages are automatically purged from our systems after approximately 30 days. Account information (email, birthdate, subscription status) is retained for as long as your account is active. When you request deletion, we remove your account data and any retained chat logs, except records we are required to keep for tax, accounting, or legal reasons (for example, Stripe payment records).

5. Your Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below, and we will act on your request promptly. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to portability and to object to certain processing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

6. Age, Minors & Parental Consent

Mental Reps is intended for athletes aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly create accounts for, or collect personal information from, children under 13; if you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it. Athletes aged 13 to 17 may use Mental Reps only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who provides their name and email and affirms consent during sign-up. We email that parent or guardian a record of the consent and a way to withdraw it at any time. Parents and guardians may review, correct, or request deletion of their minor's information, or revoke consent, by emailing us at the address below; revoking consent closes the athlete's account.
